The Istanbul Cultural Center hosted their 2nd Annual Festival on April 25th at their Columbia office. Despite the rain in the morning, there was a very good crowd that enjoyed the festivities under the tent and plenty of dry areas outside the tent area.

There was an ample supply of Turkish food and desserts for everyone to try as well as Doner and Kebab plates. The stuffed grape leaves, baklava and Kiser salads were all thoroughly enjoyed. Turkish Tea and Coffee was also available with samples of Turkish Delight.

Everyone enjoyed musical entertainment from the local Turkish community, Ebru Painting and Calligraphy work were provided by artists that flew in from Istanbul for this event as well as the opportunity to buy some Turkish items to take home with you that came straight from Istanbul.

The children enjoyed the space outside to play, the balloon artist and making their own ebru paintings or getting their name written on a bracelet to take home with them.

We thank all of you that came out and enjoyed yourselves for this event. We also thank all of our volunteers that came from as far as Clemson, Charleston and Jacksonville to help put this event together.
